Adoption process
A thoughtful and caring approach
At Rescue Kitties, our focus is always on what is best for each cat and kitten.
Every cat is different, and our adoption process is designed to make sure they are placed into a safe, loving, and suitable home where they can truly thrive long-term.
Some cats need specific things to be happy and safe. This may include outdoor access, an indoor-only home, a quieter household, no other pets, or someone with the time and patience to help them settle.

We understand that adopting a cat is an important commitment
Which is why we take time to support adopters at every stage, from the initial enquiry through to helping them settle into their new home.
Where possible, we do not rehome cats or kittens to a single-cat home with no outdoor access.
This is for the benefit of the animal, as many cats need either safe outdoor access or the companionship of another suitable cat to help keep them stimulated, confident, and happy.
Every decision is made with the individual cat’s needs at the centre, and our priority will always be finding the home that is right for them.
All cats adopted from Rescue Kitties come with lifetime backup
This means that if, at any point in the future, you are no longer able to care for the cat, they must be returned to us.
No Rescue Kitties cat should ever be passed on, sold, given away, or rehomed privately.
Once a cat is part of Rescue Kitties, they are always part of Rescue Kitties, and we will always do our best to make sure they are safe, supported, and cared for.
