About us
Rescue, care, and recovery
Rescue Kitties is a small, dedicated charity based in Manchester, focused on rescuing vulnerable cats and kittens and giving them the care, safety, and stability they need to grow and thrive. Most of the cats we help have been abandoned, born into unsafe environments, or left without proper care at the very start of their lives.
Our work begins with rescue, but it doesn’t stop there. Each cat is placed into a safe foster environment where they receive the attention, nourishment, and medical care needed to recover and develop. From early health checks, neutering and vaccinations through to socialisation and preparation for adoption, every step is guided by compassion and responsibility.

Putting cats first
At Rescue Kitties, every rehoming decision begins with the cat’s wellbeing. We take the time to carefully match each cat with the right home, making sure adopters feel fully supported, informed, and prepared. Our aim is not simply to find homes quickly, but to create safe, loving, lifelong placements where cats can truly thrive.
We also offer lifelong backup for every cat we rehome, giving adopters peace of mind and ensuring our cats always have support if circumstances change.
As a charity, Rescue Kitties relies entirely on the kindness of donors, foster carers, and volunteers. Every contribution helps cover essential costs, including veterinary care, food, bedding, microchipping, and neutering. With the support of our community, we can continue giving vulnerable cats the care, safety, and second chance they deserve.
